The latest collaboration between Design FYI and Bracken Workspace+ introduces a new kind of coworking environment, one that moves beyond functionality into experience. Located in Calls Wharf, Leeds, Bracken Workspace+ reimagines the shared office as a space for focus, connection, and creative energy, balancing professional clarity with a more human, design-led atmosphere.

TEA TESTING

Rather than leaning into the typical neutrality of office design, the concept embraces warmth, tactility, and subtle moments of contrast. Materials and finishes are chosen not just for durability, but for how they shape behaviour and mood throughout the day. The result is a workspace that feels considered and lived-in, without losing the sharpness expected from a contemporary professional setting.

THE BOARDROOM

Architectural details are used as quiet anchors across the interior, creating continuity between open work areas, meeting rooms, and communal zones. Soft transitions, layered textures, and a restrained palette establish a rhythm that supports both deep focus and informal interaction. The space shifts naturally between moments of privacy and openness, reflecting the fluid nature of modern work.

THE LAB

Shared areas are designed to feel less like amenities and more like destinations within the workspace. From welcoming reception zones to flexible collaboration spaces, each element contributes to an environment that encourages movement, conversation, and a sense of belonging. Bracken Workspace+ positions itself not just as a place to work, but as a framework for how work can feel: adaptable, intentional, and quietly expressive.
